The traps will need to be folded into place by hand, according to the instructions included in the kit box. The glue pad on each trap is covered with release paper that should be removed after the traps have been folded into place.
Each pheromone lure is packaged in a zipper-lock resealable bag to keep them fresh until you are ready to place them into a trap. When you are ready to use this product, the lures should be removed from their package and placed on their sides into the center of the glue pads on each trap.
Although the pheromone and food attractant in the lures is non-toxic, avoid direct contact with your skin if possible or simply wash your hands with warm water and soap if contact is made. Pheromone lures are non-pesticidal and only act as an insect attractant. If the glue from the trap accidentally gets onto your hands, it is not toxic and can be easily washed off using soap and warm water.
The traps are then ready to be placed out in areas where beetles are being seen. These traps will begin your monitoring program for Red-Legged Ham Beetles that are attracted to the blend of pheromone and food attractants. These traps will give you the information that you need to reduce or remove your Red-Legged Ham Beetle issue.

Orders placed before 3pm EST typically get processed that day. If placed after 3pm EST, your order will be processed the next business day. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday.
We currently cannot accept a PO Box as a shipping address. All US orders are shipped via FedEx/UPS. Be sure to include a valid street address as they will not deliver to a PO Box.
All Canadian orders are shipped via USPS. While we don't expect delays, sometimes this can happen when the package goes through customs. If you would like to have your package shipped via UPS, please give us a call at 317-896-9300. Please note, that a brokerage fee will apply, on top of the shipping cost, when the package arrives in Canada.
